Since founding Cline & Associates, LLC in 2007 in Boulder, Colorado, my mission has been to provide exceptional tax preparation and advisory services while building genuine, lasting relationships. I still remember the excitement and determination I felt during my first month in business. Even though it was November—a slow season for CPAs—I couldn’t wait to dive in. I set up my laptop on the floor of my newly leased space, driven by the excitement of creating something of my own. That passion has fueled the growth of Cline & Associates over the past 20 years.

Before starting my own firm, my career in accounting was a dynamic and rewarding journey. I became a CPA in 1997, starting at a small, one-man tax office in Golden, Colorado. My mentor, Karl, taught me the timeless values and “old school” principles that have shaped my approach to accounting excellence. My career later took me to New York City, where I worked at an entertainment management firm on Park Avenue, managing the financial and tax affairs of ultra-high-net-worth celebrities. This experience exposed me to complex tax challenges and refined my skills in communication and relationship-building—skills that remain central to my practice today.

When I’m not focused on taxes, I’m an athlete at heart. Whether I’m boxing, surfing, skiing, hiking, golfing, reading, or cycling, I’m always striving to push my limits and grow. My athletic journey began on the baseball field, where an athletic scholarship to NY Tech taught me the importance of hard work and dedication. While results are important, I believe that exceptional service is the true measure of success.

Today, I define my success by the happiness and growth of those around me—my incredible team of five, my clients who feel like family, my three wonderful kids, and my partner, Nikki. I split my time between the peaceful landscapes of Jackson, Wyoming, during the off-season and the vibrant energy of Boulder, Colorado, when the office is buzzing.

I look forward to continuing this journey, blending expertise, passion, and personal connections to help ensure a prosperous future for all those I have the privilege to serve.
